Engineered Wellness: Translating Ancient Biomechanics for Modern Tech Professionals

DeskChi was born out of a real, pressing need in the modern workplace. It is not the product of a fitness corporation, but the result of decades of firsthand experience in the digital trenches.

🖥️ The Origin: A Tech Veteran's Perspective

Behind this project is a former Head of IT and New Technologies with over 20 years of experience as a civil servant. After two decades of navigating servers, managing networks, and staring at screens, the physical wear-and-tear of a sedentary digital career became undeniable.

The solution wasn't found in another expensive gadget or a standing desk, but in the rigorous research of history.

Our approach is analytical and data-driven. We don't invent new exercises; we rescue time-tested, public-domain ergonomic systems and translate them into 3-minute, accessible routines for today's desk workers.

📚 The Method: Compiling Ancient Data

As an established writer and dedicated compiler of historical texts, our founder applies a strict methodology to ancient wellness practices. By researching classical, copyright-free works like the Yi Jin Jing or the Ba Duan Jin (dating back to the 12th century), we filter out the mysticism and focus entirely on verified biomechanics and physiology.

These ancient systems were originally developed to counteract the muscle atrophy of monks during long periods of static meditation. Today, those exact same physical principles are the perfect antidote to the "tech neck," carpal tunnel syndrome, and lower back pain caused by our modern office chairs.

🎯 Our Mission

We aim to maximize corporate wellness by providing free, highly effective micro-habits. You don't need a gym membership to fix your posture. You just need the right data, applied consistently, 3 minutes at a time.
